Aprilia RS50 – can i really have one at 16?!?

okay, ive just turned 16 and am lookin at mopeds. i understand that
1) i need to apply for a provisional licence (£50?)
2) i take a CBT course/test (around £100?)
a CBT is valid for 2 years and allows me to ride a 50cc “moped” with L-plates & no passengers.

if it’s registered as a moped by being less than 50cc and restricted to 30 and approved then it is a moped, you’d need to check this out first with the reg document of each bike.
If it does more than 30 it is a motorcycle and you will be unlicensed, uninsured etc. etc. and might as well be riding a fireblade as it would be just as illegal.
By law all you need is a crash hat for protective clothing however road rash hurts like a git, scars you for life and can happen easily from jut 15mph so it’s your choice if you want to wear good kit or not.
